when i download files from the net having accessed the net via IE in XP they save by default to my mac desktop instead of 2 my windows d/top. Whilst i have been able to drag them onto my wind desktop & install successfully i would prefer to d/l directly to the windows desktop ? Also I can't see any IE toolbars to use , it all comes from my mac. I was not using Coherence . Intel Mac V 10.4.9 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM Parallels (latest version) Windows XP Home Canon MP600 (works on the mac but says it is not installed on windows) I'm not very au fait with windows so it may be just me ?
I checked preferences (with vm on) and couldn't find FTP ? All i could seem to change is the default folder which is my user/documents/parallels . I couldn't see an XP destination anyway as it was all mac locations. Could give me a little more information please ? thanx
Ok, go Preferences > General and look at the bottom of the window. You will see "Shared Web Applications" group. There you will found FTP option. Can you tell, what kind of file you have downloaded (it will be nice to get an URL from you)?
1)I downloaded the software successfully from this site but it saved to the mac desktop. I was not given any options to save to another location. http://www.logisoft.com.au/Downloads.htm 2) I took two screen shots of the Preferences pane but am unable to attach them as I woould normally becasue this forum is asking for the url of my images. Can you suggest where I should upload them to ? I am really lost now as I though I could simply attach them. 3) I have checked the Parallels Help menu for FTP & shared web applications but can't find anything relevant. I have opened parallels & beside the Apple I clicked on Preferences .In there I have 6 tabs -general,Memory,Network,Appearance,Animation,Keyboard. In General I do not see anything at the bottom of the window. I can not see "Shared Web Applications" group & I can't find FTP option. Should I be trying to do this through My Computer or somewhere else ?
