I recently installed parallels on my ubuntu 7.10 box, and installed windows xp pro as my guest os. I was able to get everything installed correctly, however networking cannot be made work in standard bridge mode. Everything I've found on the subject says that it cannot be made work in bridge mode using gutsy. Is there another way to get networking over parallels in ubuntu? If not I would hate to pay for this software to never have it work. Any assistance would be appreciated. nathan
Same problem I'm running into the same problem. I've seen some other posts talking about doing NAT and such, but I have not idea what the heck is going on. I'm using bridged ethernet on wlan0. My host machine networking is fine, but in the XP guest machine, netowrking doesn't work at all.
