    Hi,
    I have this message in : /var/log/parallels-tools-install.log

Started installation of Parallels Guest Tools version '26.1.1.57288'
Error: current Linux kernel version '5.4.0-216-generic' is outdated and not supported

I need to work with old version of linux, I don't understand why updating parallels will stop support of distro that was well supported before.

    Thanks for help

    Hello,
Any return from parallels teams to support the default kernel of Ubuntu 20.04 ???
On parallels website, Ubuntu20.04 is marked as supported by parallels 26

    Thanks in advance

For precision, I'm on a Macbook M1 Max, but I think it's a generic compatibility problem with the ubuntu linux kernel 26.1.1.57288

ok I helped myself, I switched to the HWE kernel by typing :
    sudo apt install --install-recommends linux-generic-hwe-20.04
