I'm using Parallels Desktop 7 on Mac and running Windows 7 Home Premium. (Windows 7 Home Premium is English version and does not come with other languages.) I need to input Japanese within the Windows 7 environment. It does not work when I switch the Mac's "Input Sources" to Japanese and try to type. The typed keys become roman letters within Windows 7. First, I'd like to know if it is possible to use the Mac's Input Sources and then Mac passes the typed words directly into Windows? This means, if I type in Japanese using Mac's Japanese Input Source, the Mac's takes the typed Japanese words and sends it into Windows. I know the other solution is to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate and install the Japanese Language Pack. Still, the problem is that this is a different program and works differently (switching between languages, etc.). I'd prefer to use the Mac's option of entering Japanese and seeing that it appears in Windows 7. This means that it is not necessary to install the Japanese Language Pack within Windows 7 and still being able to type Japanse using the Mac's Input Sources. If this feature is not available, would it be considered for future release?
Hello Kevin, Unfortunately, it is not possible for Windows Virtual machine to handle Japanese input without Japanese language pack. It is separate operating system and with all effort i is not possible to recognise Mac input without appropriate software/pack installed in Windows itself
