I have to set up Parallels Desktop on an older machine running OSX Catalina. I was able to download, install, and operate the software. However, when I try to buy a license key, the shopping cart says that I'm buying version 26. Will this work? I don't want to pay $219 just to see if the license for version 26 will work to activate version 15.

How can I activate version 15?

    Hello @IanK7
Please note that you cannot purchase a permanent license for Parallels Desktop 15.
If you wish to activate a previous version of Parallels Desktop, you will need to purchase a Parallels Desktop subscription.
The subscription allow you to use any previous version as long as it is compatible with your macOS.
You can purchase the subscription here.
    Regards,

Ok, however you aren't addressing my core issue which is that when I press the "buy" button in Parallels 15, I'm taken to a checkout page that only seems to offer licenses for Parallels 26. How do I know the activation code I buy will work on the old version?

    Hello @lanK7
I have version 15 and a permanent license running an older version of mac os 10.14.6 and did not want to upgrade. As of January this year my parallels version 15 will not launch for me. I have to agree with you that your question was answered. When I look at the compatibility tables as we know 15 in not supported any more. It is hard to buy a newer version if it is not compatible with your system.

Hello, I'm still awaing an answer to whether the subscription license I might buy would actually activate on Parallels 15 -- my license for Parallels 16 was unable to transfer, so I am concerned that this won't work either.
