The last hurdle to 100% user satisfaction is behind me. My Treo 600 cell phone just sync'd with the Palm Desktop in XP. Fantastic!

    Edit:

This is in RC3, build 3170, by the way.

Glad for you. I can only get my Tungsen T3 to HotSync in Windows by setting the VM's Autonnect on, which takes over my MBP's USB ports until I shut down Parallels Desktop. Yes, after initiating the HotSync session with the autoconnect turned off I selected the Palm Handheld in the USB menu. I heard the Windows tone indicating it had detected the connect attempt- then nothing:(

I don't allow autoconnect here for the reason you mention. The Treo 600 usb connector is silent until you push the hotysync button so what I did was push the button then select the Palm device from the Parallels Devices->USB menu. Windows recognized it as a new device and I let it install the driver. When that completed the data transfer began and ran to completion. I had no idea I had so many pictures stored on the phone :). They cannot be downloaded to the Mac Palm Desktop as there's no conduit for the Mac.

Laugh, my Treo 650 with Hotsync and PDAReach doesn't work in 3170, but does with 3150. :)
