Transporting from Dell to Mac

Hi all,

So I went through and transported Windows XP Pro S2 from my old Dell Inspiron 5100 to my macbook and everything worked fine until I realized I had to reactivate it. No go. I saw elsewhere on the forums that its not possible to reactivate it, crap. So is there a way that I can buy a new product code (I guess by buying a whole new os, right?) and keep all my files and settings and especially programs from my Dell? The big thing is there is one program on there, the only reason I need windows really, and it will be a pain and a half if I need to track down the program and license for it again (through my department at school, and I really don't feel like explaining why I need to install it, again...). Any help?

 

Call Microsoft and describe situation, if original Windows was not OEM version, they will help you
