I have an Intel-based VM with specialty software (Tobii Pro Studio) that is registered on the VM. My institution upgraded my hardware from x86 to Apple Silicon, so I need to create a new VM. The developer has shut down the activation server for the software, so I can't install it on a new VM. Is there a way to transfer the old VM to a new one in a way that preserves all the system files so the new VM sees the software as registered?

(I realize this question has been asked in other threads, but I haven't seen any responses.)
