i'm not exactly a computer expert so i would appreciate any help. Currently have a G4 and was considering getting rid of it and buying this imac with the pentium. I work on a trading desk which of course uses PC's but would like to spend some time home during the summer and still be able to work some. i've read that there are speed issues with video games. obviously a trading platform won't have all of the graphics, but it would need to handle a lot of incoming data without being delayed at all. can parallels handle this? i would be using a web based charting package that uses a lot of historical data and then would be trading through our server at work through a vpn i guess. honestly i don't know what a vpn is. but i would be trading through our network from home is the point. could parrallels handle all of this while using 2 to 3 monitors with no or very minimal data delay? is boot camp better for this? or should i just suck it up and buy a pc. i've always been a mac guy, so this would be painful. but the financial world is all pc. thanks in advance for any advice.
