    Hello,
Still trying to understand all the nuances inherent in Paralles.
    Tough, at my age.

On the Dock I seem to have two Parallels icons:

One says Parallels Desktop, and the other says Windows.

Irrespective of which I click on to get to the
Windows side, it seems that exactly the same screen opens up.

What are the differences for the two icons ?
    Which to use when ?
    etc.

    Thanks,
    B.

  2. Hi RobertR18. If you have more than one virtual machine created using Parallels Desktop, selecting the Parallels Desktop icon from the Dock will bring up the Parallels Control center which will list the available virtual machine's and you can select one from that to start the virtual machine. The Windows icon on the Dock is to start the Windows virtual machine directly without getting the control center menu. Since you have only one virtual machine, both the icons starts the Windows virtual machine.
