The folder path My Desktop contains an invalid character

    I tried installing the update to stamps.com to version 12, which uninstalls the old version first.

    The stamps.com uninstaller chokes with the error

    "The folder path My Desktop contains an invalid character".

    I am running a current version of Windows 7 within Parallels Desktop 9 on a MacBook Pro.

    I cleaned the registry with CCleaner and that didn't help. I used Revo Uninstaller to successfully uninstall the older version, but when I tried to install the new version I got the same error.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Still an error

    I did do this. I tried to do the install and it got to the very end and I got a different error dialog box:
