I've been playing with Parallels build 5600 and noticed a UI flaw that's been around for years.*

On launch, Parallels demands that either I select an existing VM or if, for some reason, it can't find any VMs, create a new one. If I choose cancel to either task, the program summarily quits!

So if I just want to open the application to have it open a VM later on, I cannot. Also, if I just want to import one from VMWare Fusion, I cannot. The menus in this state are dimmed.

This is a poor UI design. A program shouldn't quit unless the user explicitly asks to do so. And it shouldn't present optional dialog in a way that demand action.
