Hello all. Last week I purchased a Mac Pro for work with the intentions of running Windows using parallels. To my surprise it did not work but then RC1898 came out, this thing flies. I am using the PC in a domain environment and it logs to the domain properly. All of my ODBC connections also work perfectly and I have not had a problem accessing any of the servers. I have not tried all the functionality with periferals and the like but they appear to work. So once again Thank you all Parallels for RC 1898 (I probably would have had to explain a lot at work if it did not work ) My question is as follows: Is there a way to use the numeric pad on the Mac keyboard when using parallels? This has probably been asked before but I could not find it. thanks in advance, Jim
I'm just a lurker here... waiting for the dust to settle before I try using Parallels with my MAC Pro. I had the same question using XP with boot camp. THe answer there was simple-- The CLEAR key on the upper left of the numeric keypad is analagous to NUMLOCK on a PC keyboard. One press, and it worked (one more and it stopped working, one more and it worked again, etc). Under bootcamp and XP, it seems to remember NUMLOCK on or off from session to session. I don't know if it will work in Parallels, but if you haven't tried it, why not do so?
Thank you very much. I did not notice that key there Thanks again for a quick and effective response. regards, Jim
