I just downloaded and installed parallels, and wanted to install my Windows XP Pro. Everything seemed to work well, as I typed all the information and went through the ~1hr installation. Windows then went through that blue loading bar, and eventually onto the "Welcome" screen.

Immediately after that is where the problem arises. Windows seems to be stuck on this teal coloured screen, and nothing seems to be loading (no desktop, tool bar, etc.). I've tried restarting the whole thing, but it ends up at the teal coloured screen every time.

Does anyone know what the problem is, and how I can fix this?

    Thanks a bunch.

    -Craig.

    any USB plugged in?

If you have any USB plugged in, try removing it and rebooting windows. This happened to me with a USB device that was being grabbed by OSX and windows couldn't have it, so there was a blocking lock or something.
