Still can't print from Windows 98se to Mac

I seem to have figured out my problems in getting the two OS's to communicate via the network. Internet is working fine as always. But I still can not get the network printer to work.

I've installed the proper drivers for Windows 98se for my Brother laser printer. But all I get is this error message when I try and print:

I even dug out an older Epson inkjet to try and still had no success. I also tried installing Bonjour although I know it isn't supported for Windows 98se. It can't even be installed so I guess the panacea for W2K and up is unavailable for folks using a dinosaur OS like I am.

Any clues as to what gives with this problem. Hints, suggestions, and baldfaced lies all welcome.
