    Hello everybody,

job-related for safety reasons I have to use Win XP SP3 (Parallels 4.0.3.844) within FileVault (Mac OS 10.5.7) on my MacBook Pro 2,4. Until the last Parallels update everything worked fine, I always let the VM go in standby mode before I finished Parallels. Since then Parallels prevents with a 50 % probability OS X from shutting down properly if I leave Win XP in standby mode. After I finish Parallels and cause OS X to shutdown the menu bar and dock disappear, the mouse pointer and background still stay and nothing more happens until I push the power button. After a restart of the MacBook I start Parallels again and get a Windows bluescreen with several different crash reports and then Win XP boots again properly. Everything works fine if I shutdown Win XP first, finish Parallels and afterwards shutdown OS X - no bluescreen in Windows then at the restart. The error only happens with Win XP in standby mode. It´s not a real big issue for me to shutdown Win XP, but maybe someone of you could give me a hint, what kind of process can cause this behaviour, because I love the standby mode very much.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Please try creating a new virtual machine based on the existing image file and let me know if you are facing the same problem or not.

Followed your advice with no luck. Exactly same behaviour as described above.

Problem still persists after upgrading to Leo 10.5.8. Any help?
