I know that Parallels Desktop 7 supports sound on Lion guests. And on Snow Leopard hackintosh guests. Parallels Tools for Mac installs two drivers to support audio for at least Parallels Desktop 6 or 7 virtual machines (I didn't check older versions): AppleIntelAC97Audio.kext AppleIntelAC97Controller.kext You can see what Parallels Tools installs by mounting the prl-tools-mac.iso disk image, and opening Install.mpkg with a utility like Pacifist.
NO. At least I can't get it to work using Parallels 8 and SL Server. A BIG pita. What about old versions of Cubase? Rosetta games? ;-(
Hi, I had the problem of no sound when I first installed SL Server. Once I figured out to install the tools, the sound worked.
