I had sound working, both from my internal speakers and from my iMic USB audio, but after quitting parallels, I completely lost sound in OS X. The soudn device shows up in preferences, but no sound is produced, and when a sound is played, the screen flashes, like I have the accessibility options turned on (I don't). Now, when I try starting parallels again, I get the "Error writing to sound device! Loopback device will be used!" message. Restarting the machine doesn't help either. It's almost as though the sound device is locked, and both OS X and Parallels are locked out. Any advice?
