I have a piece of sound hardware and software called DM2 (squared) by a company called Mixman. Their site is at http://www.mixman.com Anyway, the software installs just fine. The custom USB controller is recognized, and goes through the setup and configuration procedures with no difficulties at all. When I try to actually run the software, though, it craps out on the main page, which attempts to play sound effects as one mouses over any of the music genre selectors. The sound will start to play, and then stutter, play stutter, play stutter, repeat times infinity. The only way to do anything after it gets into this state is to restart the machine. Note that the mouse cursor still works, but the software just locks and hangs, and the virtual machine becomes nonresponsive to user input from mouse or keyboard. Any ideas what would lock up the machine during sound effect playback? Skip Haughay
