    Hello,

I recently purchased Parallels under the assumption that I would be able to use the activation code to activate an older version.
I have OSX Mavericks 10.9.2 and a windows 7 install on a separate hard drive in the system. But the Parallels 10, which is for Mavericks, doesn't not accept the activation code on my recite.

The Error code underneath the activation key field is as follows...
"An invalid argument was passed. For details, click here." There is a red X next to the field when the key is pasted into the field. When I click on there "here" link I am taken to a support web page that says the following...

    "Available article translations:
Sorry, but this article is outdated."

Does the new code not work with the older software? Or am I missing something? If it doesn't work is it possible for a Parallels 10 key to be sent in it's stead?

  2. Hi JonathanM12. If you have purchased the license key for Parallels Desktop 13 for Mac, you can activate only that version and it is not possible to activate the previous version. Please note that you can purchase only the latest version of Parallels Desktop from our online store. Also, Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac is an end of life product and we do not provide any further updates or technical support for that version.

Ok...That is extremely disappointing as as VMWare seem to support this...so I guess I will go with them. I would like to request a refund in full then please, as this was not made clear at the time of purchase and thus to me, your software is useless.
    Thank you very much.
