Hi folks, I've checked the docs, the faq, and the forums for Solaris help and didn't find anything. I'm trying to install Solaris 10 Express Community Edition and it fails partway through the installation program with "ERROR: The disc you inserted is not a Solaris OS CD/DVD". I have my CD/DVD drive configured to use and boot from the Solaris DVD ISO image. Any help, rtfm links, or pointers appreciated.
Well, it's apparently possible, *but*... A colleague has apparently installed Solaris 10U1, but I'm getting this same error with Solaris Nevada (Express) builds 34 and 37. I'm guessing the grub boot is doing something to how the disk is mounted or remounted during the boot - it also complains it can't find the compressed Xserver cpio file, which is why we get the text install questions =O( I'll have to get my colleague to explain how he installed S10U1. Ta, Mark.
