I have been using Parallels 5 since it was released with no issues. I run Win 7 32 bit in the VM only for Quickbooks. I have a Windows Home Server that I connect to from the OSX side and have been using those shared volumes every day while leaving the VM running. After the upgrade, I can connect the volumes but then drop the connections many times per hour. I can always ping the Windows Home Server by name or IP with no issues. After the connection drops, I get an error message when I try to reconnect. Eventually, I can reconnect but the connection only holds for a few minutes and then drops again. From the VM side, I am able to connect and stay connected with no problem. If I shut down Parallels, I am able to connect from OSX and stay connected all day. I have tried changing up the Parallels and VM network settings but have not found any to work.
