Hi! I am having an odd problem: newly installed applications (anything installed after creating the vm image) do not show up in either the SmartSelect list or the Mac's "Open With..." context menu. They do not show up in the Mac Finder's "Get Info" dialog window either. I have searched for solutions to this problem. Most solutions are out of date or ineffectual. I use Parallels Desktop 5, Windows XP SP2. Right-clicking on the Windows app's icon in the dock does not display any SmartSelect menu item. There is no "Applications" menu item in this version of Parallels. Launching and re-launching the new applications from various shortcuts does not solve the problem. Rebooting the guest VM does not help. I do have global sharing enabled. So far, I have not encountered a single newly installed application that properly shows up in these lists.
