sluggish... since last update

sluggish... since last update **update - false alarm**

**UPDATE**
** turns out my kernel_task process was higher than normal (50%)
** and this was causing the whole CPU maxing at 100%.
** a safe boot also exhibited the same problem.
** a quick google suggested dust on the fans (!), or a bad driver.
** then I remembered that I had installed a cheap-ish Sonnet Tempo SATA e2P card on my first Gen MacPro with drivers released 9 days ago... ...before 10.6.5 was released.
** anyway - took the card out, and all is well.
** I'll wait for the next driver updates before messing with my system again.
** I thought it was a bug as it coincided with the OSX & Parallels updates,
** and a colleague was experiencing a similar problem on his laptop.

is anyone else experiencing sluggish behaviour (CPU going all over the place)...
I can't use most of my VMs!!! Is this a known bug?
