I recently acquired a "WD my book studio ll" external hard drive formatted for windows (NTFS) with a raid 1 configuration. Data transfer is real slow (2 gigs took 1 hour). I have windows XP home on a Mac book pro (10.4x) with Parallels 3.0. My assumption is that there is too much back and forth handshaking between the Mac, Parallels and Windows. Has anyone else experienced this result? My VM has been acting slow and sluggish for a while now (prior to connecting the external hard drive) and I don't know how to track down the problem. Where should I start to look? Thanks, Dave
