Slow beta 6 ?

Is it just me or is the perceived speed of beta 6 slower than beta 5 ? My VM's seem to be much more responsive in beta 5 than they are in beta 6. When i click on something the app just might not start for several seconds. Not a behaviour that i can remember from the other beta's ?

Anyone seing the same behaviour ?

PS: Have installed the Beta 6 tools.

 

Do you mean Parallels App responsivness or guest OS apps?

 

The guest OS apps aren't working as smooth as in beta5. I use Windows XP and noticed it too.

BTW: Check your VM memory configuration and try to leave a bit more memory for Mac OS X. For example if you have performance problems on 512M Mac with 256M VM - try to reduce VM memory to 200M.

I meant Guest OS ! It's slower at bootup and slower at shutdown. At the sam time it seems to take longer to open individual windows.

I have 2gig in the machine and have set asde 512meg for Windows XP. Which should be enough.

I've also noticed that when trying to open the shared folders. On the first attempt it crashees windows explorer. While on subsequent attempts it's just slow at opening folders (5-8 seconds).
