I have Boot Camp loaded, but then found Workstation and started loading it up since I would prefer a virtual solution rather than a dual boot one. One function I like to do is watch my TV via the SlingBox and SlingPlayer. Sling Media is working on a Mac client, but for now I thought I could try the Workstation. Everything installed fine and at first the SlingPlayer started up and was connecting when an error popped up stating, "Cannot play due to hardware audio driver problem..." I am hopeful this will be fixed when Workstation comes out of beta.
Duplicated problem I too got the "audio hardware" error message as well as not being able to run the video tuning application. I can't find the native Mac SlingPlayer -- please post a link if this exists somewhere...
I haven't been able to get Slingplayer running either - but in my case I'm stuck because the windows media components won't install, I've no idea why not. D
