Anyone know of a way to create an icon that, when clicked starts Parallels and automatically boots into a given VM? I think it would be nice to have a Windows icon on my desktop that when double clicked went right into the Windows without having to go into the Parallels Desktop page and click the Power On button.

There are no Automator actions for Parallels that I can see and I cant figure out how to get AppleScript to do it for me...

I'm sure it's easy, but I'm new to the whole Mac thing.

    Thanks,
    Matt

There is a VM option to auto-start the VM when loaded. Have you tried enabling that option and then placing a desktop link to the VM file?

    Whoops.

I'm usually not such an idiot

While we're at it, is there an easy way to make Parallels quit when the guest OS shuts down? I'm shooting for 2 of 2 here :)

When I close the VM window (I set it to automatically suspend in Preferences when it's closed) the Parallels app also quits.
