I know Parallels is not for games, I have been using it on my MacBook and loving it since day 1. Please don't jump on me for asking this, but I would like know if I can run the PC version of the Sims in parallels. The reason I ask is that I need to get my daughter a laptop. She loves the Mac and would be very happy with a MacBook. However she plays games on the computer as well....actually only 1 game, Sims. I would like to get her a MacBook and Parallels if it will work with the Sims. If not I will likely have to buy a WinTel piece of crap.

I would go for the Mac version of the Sims, but from all I hear it is behind the windows version and does not have the expansion packs. This would not do for her.

    Thanks
    Rob

Hmm... You can use BootCamp for Sims... I know that... Check if Sims requires 3D graphics accelaration... If it doesn't you can use Parallels, if it does, you need to use BootCamp.

    1. The Sims requires 3D support. It will not run within Parallels.
    2. The Sims for Mac does have expansion packs, IIRC.
