Hi, I have my VM running Windows 7 and I run either IE9 or IE11 to access a corporate application based in Siebel. When I run the online app, it logs in and loads the landing page. When I try to query something I get the following error: We detected an Error which may have occurred for one or more of the following reasons: The applet field with name "s_6_2_18_0" doesn't exist(SBL-UIF-00289) I have deleted the object files of Siebel and retried launching the app so that it will reinstall. It did install but the end result was the same. Please help. I really need the application . Best Regards, Fawaz.
Siebel has three client versions: Standard Interactivity, High Interactivity and OpenUI. Standard Interactivity, which is not commonly used internally, supports a wide range of browsers. High Interactivity, which is the one most commonly used within organisations, supports only IE6, 7 and 8, with specific security settings required to install the ActiveX components. OpenUI is a very new client that supports multiple browsers but for IE works best with versions 9+, but most companies haven't yet implemented it. The issues may be because you're using an unsupported version of IE for the Siebel High Interactivity client.
Hi Alex, Thanks! it works now! I just downgraded IE9 to IE8 and the High Interactivity Siebel client started working .
