I've been using a little mouse driver hack since my good old Powerbook Pismo days. This app is called Sidetrack and has - besides many other - one very important feature: It's able to adjust the way your trackpad button is functioning. I'm using my trackpad button for triggering a right mouse click from now on and it even works flawlessly in parallels VM as it did in Virtual PC on my Powerbook G4. Godbye ctrl-shift-click. Sidetrack was released as UB today. Otherwise I would have posted this earlier. It is shareware but not very expensive. If you're are a registered user - like I'am - this update is free. If you're interested: have a look at macupdate or versiontracker.
