Parallels 4, Mac 10.5.6 host, Windows XP SP3 VM Happened twice: 1) Suspended the VM, went to "suspending" screen, waited an hour, had to close my laptop 2) Shut down the VM from Start Menu, it went to "shutting down" blue screen, waited an hour, had to close my laptop Result: When I open up Parallels the spinning icon is going next to it in the VM list. If I click on it, it goes to the VM window in an "off" state but all the buttons as the top are grayed out and if you go to the "Virtual Machine" menu the only thing available is "Suspend" and it is checked. Nothing I can do will get it out of this state. Only option I had was to use the HD image in a new VM. Ideas? Nate
Same problem here, but dows it every time I try to Shut Down or Suspend (or quit Desktop). I have to restart the Mac every time. I had accidently deleted a shared folder from the Mac desktop and thought that might be the problem. I reoved the solder from the config list, but the hanging persists. Any ideas?
