After posting two messages regarding problems shutting down Windows XP in Parallels 4.0.3810 (description of problem copied below), I noticed that I have two Parallels icons on my desktop just under the Macintosh HD icon when Parallels is running. I have a "[C] MS Windows XP" icon and an "[E] Windows XP" icon. Clicking on "Get Info" for each shows the information in both to be the same until Capacity ([C]: 29.29 GB and [E]: 1.95 GB) and Available ([C]: 18.32 GB and [E]: 1.93 GB). If I "Eject" the [E] MS Windows XP disk prior to shutting down Windows, there doesn't seem to be a shut down problem and the prl_cc.exe message doesn't appear. What is going on? Where did I go wrong? How do I resolve this?

Here is a copy of my previous post (which never had any solutions posted):

Almost every time I try to shut down Windows XP in Parallels 4.0.3810 I get a message referencing a problem with prl_cc.exe. Sometimes Windows will shut down and sometimes it completely hangs forcing me to cold boot my iMac to get rid of it.

Typically, I get a "End Program - prl_cc.exe" pop up window stating it is "Ending Program...Please wait" offering me the option to "End Now". Either waiting or clicking the "End Now" button often generates a message saying "This program is not responding." Then, sometimes these error messages are followed by a red stop sign message: "[E] MS Windows SP" giving me the option to "Force Eject" Windows.
