This option only seems to work with GNOME-based Linux distros: for example, it works with Ubuntu and Ubuntu Unity, but doesn't work with Ubuntu Studio, which is KDE-based (no apps folder is shown in the Dock, even if the Parallels Tools are correctly installed). So, is this a bug, or a "feature" (rather, a limitation, in this case)...?

BTW, doesn't work with Cinnamon (Ubuntu, Mint), either: so, it's evidently an incomplete feature; and that's probably why it's disabled by default...

BTW, nothing has changed in Parallels Desktop 19: showing Linux app folders in the Dock still only works with GNOME; but not with KDE, Cinnamon, etc.: quite disappointing...

... Tried Fedora Cinnamon 40: the Applications folder correctly shows up automatically in the Dock (and it is present in ~/Library/Parallels/Applications Menus as "Fedora Cinnamon 40 Applications"); while this still doesn't work for Linux Mint 22: the Dock doesn't restart after installing the Parallels Tools and there is no Applications folder in it (and in ~/Library/Parallels/Applications Menus there is only an empty folder named "{98c10b8d-4ae4-4df7-864c-03583b8b4659} Applications Menu"). Strange, thus, that Cinnamon Dock Applications menus only works with Fedora guests (and the same also for KDE), and not in Ubuntu-based ones...

... But a good news is that it now works with KDE Neon 6, based on Ubuntu: the Applications menu correctly shows up in the Dock.

BTW, still doesn't seem to work on Parallels Desktop 20 with Linux Mint 22 or Ubuntu Cinnamon 24.10 beta: no Applications folder added to the Dock, even it the Parallels Tools are installed correctly...
