I'm wondering if it's possible to share VMs (hdds, et. al.) between Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac and Parallels Workstation 2.X for Windows. I've managed to boot an upgraded HDD in Workstation but some of the drivers fail to load. I'd like to have one image shared between the two machines so I can tote the same image with me on my laptop (Mac) but work with it on my desktop (PC) when I'm in the office.

Anyone have any success doing this? Anyone have troubles?

At that point, I may as well install on two boxes. The goal is to have one machine with one set of work items, one set of installs, etc. If I have to copy back and forth a file that's, let's say, 12GB, then I may as well just have 2 installs and shared data. The shared data though would have to live on a portable drive or on the laptop itself and I think this would cause a problem about out-of-sync images between versions (well, I don't know, but that's why I posed the question in the first place).

    Edit: Clarified last sentence.
