OK so I have the .pvs and .hdd files in /Users/Shared/xp_vm directory which has permissions so both users I want to be able to use it (not simultaneously!) can read and write. When the second user (not the VM creator) run Parallels (beta 6) with parallels not running I get the message: Unable to lock out the configuration file <path>/winxp.pvs Pressing OK it works perfectly...what is this? Is there a hidden lock file? why is it not deleted when the first user quits parallels? Any help appreciated.
Sorted - pls ignore! actually please ignore this - my permissions were incorrect on the VM directory. Works fine now
