    Hi,

I have a guest VM created on the Linux version of Parallels - I'd like to share this with a friend who has a Mac. Will the VM created under Linux work with Parallels on the Mac ?

    Thanks

Yes, VM created under Linux must work with Parallels on the Mac.

You _MIGHT_ want to just copy the .hdd file, and have the user create their own .pvs file and attach your .hdd image to it.

I've run into problems, some minor some major when trying to use a .pvs file created on one platform on a different platform. For instance: http://forum.parallels.com/thread5818.html

Also, your Mac guy will probably need to reinstall Parallels tools, too (I'm not sure he actually _HAS_ to, but it will warn him about the versions not being consistent, since the build numbers don't match).

I've had experience with this as I run Parallels on Mac, Linux _AND_ Windows, depending on which side of the bed I got up on in the morning. Or, in the case of Windows, if I fell off. :)
