shared profile und mac os x server an XP

i want to use shared profile desktop with may mbp but is it only working when i´m connected to the server.

when i start parallels, mac os x leopard always tries to connect to server.
if i´m connected to the server via LAN or afp or ftp everything is fine.
if not, parallels XP hangs.

i´m not always connected to the server, so how can i use shared profile while nopt connected to the server???
