I have a Macbook Pro and Shared Network was working in 1970, now stop working. I tried uninstalling, rebooting, installing again, both Parallels and Tools. I don't know what else to try. Any help appreciated
Same here I have a MBP Core 2 Duo. I cannot select shared networking support. I require this for some of the hotspot networks that I work on, as the network has entries relating to my AirPort's MAC address. Thx, Artanin
Cannot get shared networking either I could not select it from the VM configuration editor, so I chose host only. Then after starting the VM I used the menus to switch to shared networking. I obtasined a DHCP address, but the DNS server didn't provide address translation (used nslookup). I should have tried pinging a known address. I'll try that later to see if the problem is just DNS.
More shared networking woes I am having similar problems. MacBook Pro, build 3036, winxp. Running shared networking, I get an ip address and can ping any address. I can open web pages by ipaddress, but DNS does not work, nothing resolves. Everything works properly in OS X. If I do nslookup, the DNS servers that are being used are incorrect. I am connected to a netgear wired/wireless router (on a wired connection) connected to a Comcast Broadband router (Motorola). I even tried putting the correct Comcast DNS in the WinXP network config, no change. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I just switched from using a straight DSL > Ethernet connection to having a router providing ethernet from the DSL. Everything works fine in OS X, but all internet services on my VMs are now completely broken in build 3036 beta in any networking mode. The problem is DNS at minimum and possibly more. No domains resolve properly.
