Shared Folders problem

    Hi all,

    I am trying Parallels after running BootCamp for a while and like it better.

    I want to access the data in Bootcamp for now and tried Shared Folders.

    I found that it is VERY slow and sometimes chrash the application accessing the file.

    Even trying to open the folder from the desktop takes forever.

    I wonder if anyone knows a better way to do this.

    I had this problem the first time I tried the shared folders. I re-installed the Paralells tools in XP (along with beta6) and that seems to have made it useable.

    I think the current Shared Folders implementation is flaky. For now just the usual Windows Sharing (a.k.a. Samba, or SMB) works better for me.

    BTW, that's the second time I saw someone misspell 'crash' as 'chrash'. I just thought it was interesting...

    Could you tell me where and how to get that "Samba" working, I am a long time windoze user and Mac newbie.
