I am using WinXP as a guest. You may know that the filenames on WinXP and MacOS (and many others) can be coded both in 1-byte ascii as well as in 2-byte characters (for japanese and many other languages w/ more than 256 characters). A problem arises when I try to read or write the file with a filename coded in 2-byte characters (japanese, in my case). (1) I can write a file w/ 2-byte filename in the shared folder of Host. From Guest, I can see the file is there, but cannot read the file. (2) From Guest, I cannot even write a file w/ a 2-byte filename in the shared folder.
This was not correct. I can write a file in the shared folder, but the filename is converted to "????" (the number of ? equals that of 2-byte caracters).
