I thought that it might be useful for me to drop this in as a new thread. I just upgraded to Parallels 5 (9344) with the tools hotfix. I'm using an XP Pro virtual machine. When I try to remote in to the VM (which I'm doing across a VPN), all of the shared folders from the host OS (which I mapped via the VM configuration) disappear from "My Computer". If I close the remote connection and log back in from the actual host Mac, they reappear. I've tried: a) Windows RDC client (from within another parallels VM on my laptop) b) Microsoft's Mac RDC client c) CoRD for Mac They all show the same behavior. I've also tried disabling "SmartMount" on the off chance that that was behind the problem. Still no luck. Please help!
