I rely on the macOS firewall and Little Snitch to keep me protected when connected to the internet, but as it appears that parallels "bridged ethernet" goes right around any host-os network facilities I'm a bit concerned about security on the windows side. I don't really have much in the windows environment that anyone would care about (and I use ZoneAlarm firewall), but if I enable folder sharing am I now exposing my mac files to anyone who can gain access to my windows vm? For convenience, I had simply been sharing the root of my mac HD "just in case" I needed to access it, but if someone from outside could compromise my windows machine and then see this drive, that would be bad. Is this possible, or does the configuration of the shared folder system somehow only make it 'visible' to me locally? until I know for sure, I've turned it off. It sure would be nice to be able to access shared source code folders, etc, without worrying that windows was opening up this huge security hole.
