Shared apps not consistently launching

    I have installed Tools and configured to share apps. I set to default all Word, PowerPoint and Excel to Mac. However, the settings don't seem to stick. Word launches correctly, but PowerPoint may for a while, then starts to launch Excel 2007 on Windows. I can go into the settings where it had been set to "Select All" for Mac, and it's gone back to defaults. Excel has never worked.

    Any ideas?

    10.5.3 with 5086 and XP SP3.
