Hi all, we're using several (4-5) Macs, each with an own Parallels (5/6 + Win XP Pro) installation in a network, all accessing files on a Mac server (not running OSX server, though, but a regular OSX). All Macs are configured for bridged network access, because "shared network" is unbearably slow for our applications. The main and most important applications running are FrameMaker (8/9) and Acrobat/Distiller for creating PDFs from FrameMaker. Now, running Windows and FrameMaker on one single Mac works perfectly, opening files on the server, scrolling through documents, and creating PDFs happens at acceptable speed. BUT: as soon as Windows is started on a second Mac (and even worse once FrameMaker is launched too), every VM takes recurring "breaks" of 10-30 seconds when working on documents (opened from the server). The screen goes white, the hourglass appears, and nothing happens. There is NO additional network or processor activity visible in the task manager, it just sits there and does nothing. This repeatedly happens with almost every action, be it scrolling, writing text, or anything else. With three Macs in the same network, working gets completely impossible. I've just checked that this kind of interference does not happen with two Macs running, and one is set to "shared network". However, this is not an alternative, because e.g. writing a PDF from FrameMaker (about 15 minutes on "bridged network") takes a multiple of this time, and I'm talking HOURS here. Is there anything we can do to get rid of this interference, when applications access files on the network? This problem has no impact on file access from Mac OS, just within Parallels/Windows. Bernd
