Hello, we want to migrate a bunch of domains to our existing windows plesk server. I have tried without success to ghost the image of the origional drive to a 2tb drive and then extend the ntfs partition. So Im throwing in the towel on that operation.

currently have it set with 2 500gb drives as a single mirrored dynamic partition.

we need more storage so i have 2tb drives i want to use. Can i add the drives additionally to the server and run seperate directory's for for different domains? i.e. run domains starting with a-g on the 500gig drives and then throw the rest of them on the 2tb drives?

do i have to start from scratch and re-install the windows server with the new drives instead? if so, what is the easiest way to migrate those domains over? also, what about the license? i obviously dont whant o have to use two licenses while im simply migrating to the same machine.

I simply cannot afford to loose the data on that webserver in the process.

anybody have any suggestions for my next plan of action?

I managed to get this working. first i created a mirror on one of the 2tb drives, pulled the old 500gb and booted the os from the 500gb partition on the 2tb drive.

I then removed the mirror and installed easus partition manager. I was then able to convert the drive to a basic disk, resize the partition, convert back to dynamic and it is now mirroring to the second 2tb drive.. yay. good luck doing this without buying a third party drive app like easus.
