After installing Parallels 8 I cannot configure the USB. I am running a CNC with Windows XP.
Everything appears to be okay with exception of this one problem.
When I attempt to transfer a file to the CNC I get this: "Unable to open com port (win error code:2) was raised"
When I click on the icon to turn the communication on I have "USB-Serial Controller D#2"
I do not remember the D or the #2 appearing after Controller.
I done what seemed the only thing to do, I dumped version 8 as I did version 6, didn't bother with 7. Reloaded version 5. Voila!! It works.
BTW: Last time I had a problem with Parallels I got about the same amount of help as I have this time.
