    Hi

I have a sentinel safenet usb device. Under parallels 6 with xp as the guest os it worked really well. Under Parallels 7 it has ceased to work. Does anybody know how to make it work under 7 or do I have to downgrade to 6 until a fix is posted???

I am using exactly same VM under 7 as I was in 6.

    Thanks

I am having the same exact problem. I use a SafeNet USB key for my company's billing program. Everything worked great under PD6. I upgraded to PD7 so I could do the Mountain Lion installation but every time I try to use my SafeNet Sentinel USB key and open our billing program, I get a "driver initialization error". I am using Windows 7. If I revert back to PD6, everything works. I tried installing the driver you referenced to no avail and un-installed & re-installed the 7.5.7.0 driver with no luck. Very frustrating!

    Hi Drew

You could try creating a second VM and install only the sentinel and see with nothing else if it works. Note that the sentinel show up under windows 7's USB icon. You should see it say it found it. If it does try installing your software and it should use it.

I couldn't tell you if the approach I took actually fixed the issue or I simply cleared another glitch when I rebooted.

Generally I suspend my vm after removing my FW disk (which has folders that are shared under the vm) so my Windows gets booted about once a week if that. Reason I cite this is that because my windows hadnt been rebooted in a while, I had the problem and the installation forced me to reboot.
