    Hi Group!

I've got a user with a slight problem with her eye sight using Parallels 4 (4.0.3848.450204) with 10.5.8.

We are trying to increase the size of her desktop icons and text, and applications for that matter, using the screen resolution toggle in Desktop Properties/Settings tab.

When we set it to 800 x 600 (don't laugh!) we see the increase in size. But as soon as we stretch the screen, it defaults back to 1524 x 1104. How do we keep the increase in size of the desktop when we stretch the screen?

    Thanks!

I suggest to lower the host system's (ie the Mac's) resolution instead. A radical method would be to a) run Parallels in full screen mode and b) set the Mac's resolution to 800 x 600. That should give nice, large pixels in both systems.

Would, "Adjust the host computer's screen resolution in full screen" have anything to do with it?
I just can't get this to work! Is this even possible?

Yeah, that's exactly it. If you do that *and* run the virtual machine in full screen mode, your Mac's resolution will change to that of the VM. So: tick the box "Adjust the host computer's screen resolution in full screen" in the VM configuration, change the resolution in the VM to e.g. 800x600, and set the VM to run in full screen. That should do the trick. (Of course, if you switch from the VM to the Mac side of things, the Mac's resolution will then also be 800x600.)
