As Leopard has made my HP AIO (Laserjet 3052) non-functional as a scanner (and I believe this problem is common to most if not all HP devices), I thought I would try to scan from the Windows side with Parallels. I installed the Windows version of the HP Scan software. I have my AIO conneced to the USB port and I treated it as a Windows USB device (rather than through the Mac side). I cannot scan or even print test pages however. The scanner was detected by the installation software, but it fails to print. Any ideas what I might do? It is very disturbing that I cannot scan anymore. I am using the beta release or Parallels software (latest)

Thanks. I tried that before, and it is what failed.

Thank you again, but this is precisely NOT what I want to do. I want to print through the windows driver directly to my printer, as if I was working on a PC and not a Mac. I do not want Bonjour. The reason is I am trying to work with my Scanner, which will not work with Leopard

    Hello,

could you please try to just print any document from MS Word without connecting the device through the Scan Software? Just choose your HP as a default printer. Will it work?

    Best regards,
    Alicia.
